Default Where is my ECU?

Hi

I have a 2001 WRX UK300, can anyone tell me where abouts the ecu is? I have just got a VI monitor (waiting for delivery) and it connects to the OBD-2

Thanks

AFAIK, OBD-2 port is under the steering column/dash driver's side.

The actual ecu is under the carpet in the footwell, passenger's side. It needs the side/door kick plate trim removed, carpet pulled back and is under a cover held by three 10mm bolts. The ecu itself is inside a protective can.

Isn't the OBD-2 port under the steering column?
