Default exhaust question

I've just fitted my ninja 2 catback exhaust today and I'm surprised to find its quieter than the smaller one i already had. I don't know what make my previous one was (no markings on it) but it was one piece cat back 3" narrowing to 2'5" at catpipe. Maybe a custom pipe?
The ninja is 2.5" all the way, made up of two pieces with 4.5" slash cut back box (looks great)

I'm getting a remap soon and fitting decat downpipe (3" narrowing to 2.5") but can't decide if i should put the old cat back system back on?
Will the 3" make much of a power difference even though it will still narrow at the down pipe?

Any input appreciated.

2.5 inch exhaust starts to limit top end power above 370 bhp, so if your looking at under that then its up to you, if your looking at similar figures or higher than a 3 inch is recommended.

I;m not planning on going over 300bhp for now so i guess it doesn't matter which backbox i use performance-wise.
Might as well base my decision on which one sounds best then?
