What have they done to our cars
#1
Hello,
What have subaru and mitsubishi done to our cars, look at the sti 7 and evo 7 ,probably just the same to drive ,if not a bit more rounded off round the edges. But they both look really sad compared to the older versions.Cant belive my sti 5 type r will soon be a legend like the cossie,
Why didnt they just leave well alone, give it 2 years and all the rage will be the focus cossie and probably a wild version of the 206 gti.Its sad that the old impreza and evo will be old hat soon, but in my eyes they are the two best affordable drivers cars ever made, and its a shame that they have come to a short end in their real imported rally form and not some ham sandwich eating (clarkson quote) euro freindly car.
Oh well thats my view so i wont be getting all giddy tommorow before top gear.
By the way im keeping this car for a long long time cos i dont think anything could replace it, my uncle in scotland has an evo 4 and he says exactly the same.
cheers,
Buddy

Buddy,
I think your right, especially when I've recently heard that Mitsi are going to make an estate version of the EVO 7 as well. Middle age for these models ? I think so.
Cheers
Ian

At least Subaru's making an estate of the new Impreza, it's a bit less ugly than the new saloon... New saloon looks like it fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down...

Yeah, i read about Evo 7 estate. sounded like a nice alternatvie to an STi wagon. Though I'd prefer to stick to scoobies at the moment.
