Default Anyone Attempted To Paint Silicone Hose's

As the thread title, has anyone every attempted this? I have a front mount kit arriving and all the hoses are blue but I would like to have them red but without having to buy all new?

Cheers in advance

Ryan.

yeah dont work as the paint will set hardish and the silicone will flex and crack the paint off making it look worst

that too. you can get plastic stuff that goes over tubes. its like cable tidy but with one stright cut down the middle. looks smart and only a bit more than paint. would be a better idea if you have to have it red and dont want new hoses.

I can see a few people find this funny, great stuff. Not everyone can afford to spend out all the time, it may well be possible to achieve this thats why im questioning it.

You will not be able to paint them buddy. Things like platic trims are painted using platic primer which allows a little movement but not alot. Bumpers etc are painted this way. Hoses and the such like will have much more movement and are a lot softer material.
Your only option is to save your pennies and buy some red hose. It's not expensive at all really. Go on eBay and tap in which hose you want. Then look at which company is selling it and ring them direct. I recently did this as one of my intercooler hoses split. Delivered to my door ( in pretty much any colour you want ), £5.50.

Id never seen it being done so wasn't sure. Thanks for the infomative reply, its not a big issue at the moment I can live with blue hoses but will sort them in the near future.

Your probably gonna need 6 or 7 hoses to do your car so shouldn't be anymore than £40.

That doesn't sound so bad, that obviously not Samco or top branded hoses for that price. Are the cheaper ones of a good quality?
