You can buy new panels, they cost about 1k from subaru (unpainted), or you can find a good body shop and get them done, wont be the cheapest of jobs though

Just subaru, 1k for both rear panels, Moley WRX looked into doing this to his classic, think he may have gone to a scrapyard instead, if its not bad then a bodyshop can do miracles

A good body shop will be able to sort it for you buddy. Mine also needs doing so I'm going to take the hit and book it in. I would guess it's going to cost around £400 to do both sides to a decent standard.

wet mud sits on the lip in the wheel arches. i had mine done just over a year ago when i had car resprayed, i scraped all mud out and undersealed it but one of them has bubbled back through.

Look at the sort of effect rust has on your car, Gazza has done a great job on restoring this one

my drivers side is worse than the the passenger side, hopefully when the weather gets better I will get then sanded down and touched up to take the bad look off of it until I can get it sorted out properly.

You will probably need the full panel respraying

Mine had some very minor blisters on, no heavy rust so I had them done, they needed to go back to metal for 2 inches above the arch
though he did a great job and its not come back
That was in the manchester area so reasonably priced (i had some other bits done at the same time)

you will prob find like Tony says, you will need the skin cutting back and new metal put in, as there frst from the inside to outer paint work. if you start to get blisters in the paint, even if you sand down, put rust treatment on and paint, it will come back soon. the only way to do it is to cut the rot out

I think we should have a wall of rot, haha! I have gotta do something about mine this year, im debating a reshell, cause i cannot justify spending money on getting the rear arch sorted when ive got rot on the roof and some laquer peeling off the boot. May aswell get a nice tidy shell to start with.
