Default PPP

Can you still get this for an 05 WRX? Would it still cost 1600? What other options are available to give a little more umph? Would like to change the exhaust to something smaller seems someone has added a dustbin at some point to it so the PPP would do that as part of the package I guess?

Hi, as Jura said there are cheaper better options out there other than the PPP route. I initially was planning the same thing when I bought my 03 WRX a year or so ago but decided on a more DIY approach. Prodrive Performance pack consists of the following :

Prodrive exhaust backbox
Prodrive Intercooler Y Pipe made from Silicon and less restrictive than the standard plastic Subaru part
Prodrive Custom mapped ECU
Decat Centre section

This should give you around 260bhp and similar torque.

However the DIY approach would be to scour ebay or the for sale section on Scoobynet as I did and I managed to get all of the above parts a green cotton panel filter and a 3 port boost solenoid for under £300. I then had a custom remap which was another £350, and my car is at roughly 275bhp now again with similar torque.

Hope this helps

+1 for doing it yourself. I bought:

Cobra full exhaust (headers, up pipe, down pipe, decat to back box £250
K&N panel filter £45 ish
Custom remap by race dynamix £350.
Car was producing around 270-280bhp.

The prodrive ecu is not mapped to your car specifically it is a generic map that they put on so maybe not full potential of your car.

I bought the exhaust second hand off my mate. You benefit more from a decat or sports cat but decat can be a pain come mot time unless you know a friendly mot place!!

Have a look on here there are normally people selling exhaust systems for good prices.

You can get some air filters here: http://www.scoobyparts.com/acatalog/Air_Filters1.html

You will only need a good panel filter as there isn't much point in a induction kit.

And the remap was done by "dynamix" on here £350 opensource mapping, it made such a difference and it's for your car and spec not the ppp which is generic.

Doug

I have a powerflow specialist near me and I think they were pricing me about £400-£500 for a decat system. But well worth checking around on here and possibly eBay first!!
