Default Land Rover + Scoob = :(

Been sitting in a traffic when this huge thing drove into the back of my scoob... Gutted... Took her details as she didn't want to claim and would pay me in cash, same here i like the car and dont want it to be written off. Also the car she was driving wasn't hers , it was a courtesy car as her was getting repeared. She had a baby in the back seat , me also 2 months baby daughter. I'm just glad it was just 3-5 mph bump, as the little one was in the back seat. Oh well, the woman was in a light shock so i was polite and said everything will be ok , hopefully....

careful about not getting insurers involved mate, especially considering you were at full stop and definitely not at fault. i had a rear end shunt once. looked a lot better off than yours, so i thought it would be a cheap job. but was nearly £2k of damage in the end, as it it creased the floorpan in the boot too. I know you are worried about it being written off, but it might have to be, if it is worse than it looks

If you take cash and you or your child suffer neck pains in a few weeks you will get NOTHING. A boot lid wont right the car off either. Go through insurance, *** what she wants......imho.....glad your all ok though

Id be getting the insurance involved to fella as your back panel is bent, which is a very big job especially when you put the cost of a tailgate/lights into the equation.
I know as a run a body shop

i may be wrong, but i believe its an offence not to let your insurance company know if you have ben in an accident, regardles of where the blaim lies.
and your registration shows up on the picture

It's not an offence, but if you fail to declare the fact come renewal time it may invalidate your policy and the insurer could refuse to pay out in the event of a subsequent claim.

that has defo damaged the rear valance and possibly the boot pan.
claim through her insurance or risk chasing her for money forever which you might never see.

i was driving to the doctors to pick up a prescription for my wife and I stopped to let an ambulance on a blue light run pass me. Came to a halt and a doctor in his own private car ran into the back of me.
Bumper an tailgate got it, ive only had it two months - freshly imported sti5 wagon.
Going through insurance.

I checked under the car and the spare wheel well is slightly rippled back bumper crumpled and boot lid pushed in. Offside rear light copped it too.

A plan have asked me to take her into an evanshalshaw accident repair centre on monday.

Will they use all brand new parts and how hard is it to repair floor pans.
Back bumpers are ten a penny used. Tailgates too - rear sti lights are a different question though

Ok so since yesterday this is whats happening. We agreed yesterday that she'll pay me cash i got her name , phone number, cars reg number, got 2 witnesses , my partner and another guy who was in the next lane car. I've tried to call her a couple times today , but no answer. Left her voice mails saying to get back at me, nothing.... Now i text her a polite txt msg saying that i understand this as an ignoring and i will wait till tommorow midday when my repair quote is getting done and if shes still ignors it i'll report her to the police. She turned her phone off It happened on the A406 there were to many cars around as we were in a traffic , i don't get it is she for real thinking getting away with it???
Now the question is, what should i do and, how long should i wait for her to come back at me? And what i my chances in this situation???

you should of reported it too your insurance company immediately buddy...

best ring the police and insurance now, and find out what the best option is...

are all of your modifications declared too the insurance company? if not i would swap them out for standard parts before an inspector comes round, otherwise they might not get involved.

had a friend who was totally innocent and had his car wrote off by another person. because he didn't declare any modifications even though it wasnt his fault his insurance company dropped a ball0ck and decided he wasn't covered....

If you havn't already , RING your insurance as you could be in for a hard time if you don't . A 5 mph bump may not seem like much but you never know in a wk or so you could be feeling it , as could your little one .
