Default Will a classic bonnet fit in the backseats

has anyone ever transported a classic bonnet in the back seats of their classic. i have bought one for my car but was having trouble getting it back to my house

until i remembered my da had a blooming trailer for the car!! i can lift it tomorrow using my da's car & trailer, but he has bet me that the bonnet would fit in the back of my car - bottom of bonnet in footwells resting upwards against back seats. ive measured it and its pretty tight give or take an inch width ways.

just wondering has anyone ever done this before. and is it gonna be an "i told you so moment" from my da!

Get a padded roof rack from Halfords, and strap it to the roof.
As no chance of it going in the car, so your dad will be right lol.

Just take your bonnet off, drive to where ever to collect, fit bonnet and drive home.

Seem to remember harvey doing this a few years back

will an elephant fit in a fridge.........

I hired a van to pick up an aluminum bonnet for my first uk classic, might be worth looking at rental prices for half a day save alot of worry about damage when transporting it. I wrapped it in two duvets and had a mate sit in the back with it.

Probs overkill but it did the trick

A mate of mine did that when he collected an XJS bonnet.
