Quick Q on oil filters.....
Have they recently (within the past year or so) sudddenly become a hell of a lot smaller? Reason I ask is I have just been to my local factors to buy a filter for my classic STi and it looks about half the size of the original!

Nope.. Same size as I have always known.. They are small though. The one on my old Golf GTi was twice the size!

I got the same thing from importcarparts a few months ago.
There was 2 choices of filters and there hadnt been before.
I ordered a bigger one after so I still have the small one kicking about.
Doesnt seem right to me so havent used it

I believe there are now smaller I've just got a new one from main dealer and have now got a small blue filter were as before there were black and alot bigger
