Default WRX STI V2 555 What does it mean ???

Hi. According to this website my car is V2 555. What those triple 5's mean ? What is the difference between mine 555 and normal V2 ?
http://www.subarujdm.com/jdm_impreza...i_gc8_gf8.html

And this website says that my car is V2 STI 555 limited edition
http://www.catherineandken.co.uk/sti/wrx.html

My engine code:
GC8C4ED
BKC
EJ20G DW5PE
TY752VB4AA

Which one is true then?

If your car is the one in your avatar, it's just a V2 STi

555's are all 53c Paint code

Dave,
Apart from colour, my V2 has the same engine code as yours and both of those websites I stated above says that is WRX STI V2 555...
It doesn't say on VIN plate "Limited Edition" or "555" so how can we find out for sure about our cars ??

Guys, as far as I know Colin McRae Edition is ONLY UK model and mine is JDM. I totally agree that McRae Edition was painted in Blue only and the fact is that is NOT Sti model.

The McRae Edition is a UK only car.
The V2 STi 555 was a JDM only car.

Two totally different cars celebrating two different things.

Central Scotland! And it hasn't seen daylight in almost 18 months! It has an 18g and apexi power fc it's probably running 330 ish. Took it off the road at the end of 2009 and started removing the dash to fit a flocked one and then lost all interest in it! It will be back bigger and better next year!

I'm also getting a front mount but in a few months but it currently has an identical top mount to yours I'm going to paint my front mount black so that it can't be seen as easily.

i like the idea of painting the FMIC black but have heard its not a good thing to do as it will reduce the efficiency and get stone chipped like crazy!!

Once moving it doesn't make much difference if any and it's easy enough to touch up the paint

My 555 vin plate doesn't have 'special edition' either?

& the quickest/ easiest way to tell a 555 from an RA Ltd (apart from vin code) is a 555 came with side skirts (an RA would have had to have had them fitted after) & the aerial is on the rear passenger side wing (like all STi's) ...the RA has it on the A pillar

Anyone with a standard V2 STi got the correct vin plate info?
