Caus Ive emailed these before.

youll probably get an email back like

Hi,

The car is still available for sale,it is in perfect condition in and out,100% HPI clear with a certificate to confirm, full service history.
I just got married and moved with my Italian husband in Milan,Italy.I took the car with me so the car is currently here.
I can`t use it in Italy because it has the wheel on the right side and it would also cost me too much to register it here.
It is still registered in the UK and since I have absolutely no use for it I am looking for a fast sale( this is why the low asking price)
I can ship the car from here directly to your home address and I am also willing to cover all delivery expenses.
I look forward to your reply
Regards

The car will be shipped as soon as the funds are in their account. Yeah right.

If Im bored I usually reply from different email addreses with:

1. My mate Gigantor from the local rugby club is having his stag doin Italy so we'll all come along and view it. Whats you mobile number?

2. I'm interested in the car for my friend, Jock McGunbomb from the shooting club who isnt allowed an email address or allowed to travel abroad. Said he'll happily pay for the car once he's been to the job at the Clydesdale on Friday.

3. I'll come and view the car in Italy on Friday. I work for MI5 so I'll probably hitch a lift with the guys from the RAF who will drop me near your location. I'll be the one dropping from the skies with the Union Jack parachute.
Could you tell me where you live?
Thanks,

J Bond.

Could be old photos, could have transferred the plate - not necessarily a scam.

Ad is now withdrawn.

I emailed Pistonheads a couple of weeks ago telling them they have poor control of their website hence the large number of scam ads on there. They do have a duty to take reasonable steps to protect prospective purchasers from blatant scammers.

They did not reply. How unacceptable.

Hi,

The car is still available for sale,it is in extremely good condition,100% HPI Clear, full service history.Currently I am on a business trip to Australia and will have to stay here for about 6 months (this is why I am selling the car and I am looking for a fast sale to finance the Australian project )
I left the car in PistonHeads custody and they will handle the sale for me.The V5 log book is already signed on my behalf, the car will come with 2 keys, all service records and previous MOT's. PistonHeads will deliver the car directly to your home address and I will pay all delivery expenses.
I am waiting your reply if still interested.
Regards
Monica

Thats a new one!!! Email sent regarding where the car is and requested a contact number

It has scam written all over it, so much for the benefit of doubt.

I wonder if Pistonheads or indeed any sites hand this over to the police and even then if anything is followed up.

I am afraid PistonHeads doesn't organize private viewings. There a lot of timewasters and tyre kickers out there just wanting to test drive not to buy and this is why PH doesn't organize viewings.
This is how the transaction is going to take place :
To verify you are a serious person and genuinely interested in purchasing the car you will first have to send the 3.500.00 pounds by bank to bank wire transfer to a PistonHeads managed account.
As soon as the payment is received and verified PistonHeads will deliver the car to your address and offer you a 24 hrs inspection of the car.
If you will decide you want to keep the car PistonHeads will forward your payment in my bank account and the sale is concluded. If you will reject the car PistoHeads will refund your payment into your bank account and collect the car from you (absolutely no extra charges for you).
During the 24 hrs inspection period you can take the car to a garage or have it RAC/AA inspected,I absolutely welcome any checks you want to perform on the car and documents.
This is a 100% secure system for both buyer and the seller because I will receive your payment only after the car is delivered and inspected by you.
I used to work in the car sales business and I`ve used PH Buyer Protection to complete distance sales all the time,it is very very easy to use and absolutely safe for both buyer and seller.
I can organize the sale anytime this week, all I need is your full name, address and contact phone number(s)
I look forward to your reply and hopefully to a smooth sale
Monica

You can guarantee that the spanner in control of E-mails just thought "f*** this" and pressed the delete button.

Minimum wage/Minimum effort, thats what they say, isn't it!

Hi Peter,

PistonHeads will contact you with the terms of the transaction and with their payment details as soon as I have started/authorized the sale. You will receive the payment invoice and a support number where you can call and ask for details.I have used the PistonHeads system several times and it works perfectly, they will offer us a very safe and smooth sale
I look forward to your reply
