Default The other side of 2.1 strokers

Check this one out! at first sight nothing special, but the car drives superbly on its totally stock TD04, top mount, injectors, headers etc. It has a Simtek, decat and a fresh stroker motor, and that's it!
Nice set up for the road, and pulls like a rally car..

Yes it is, but the 310ish lbs of torque would make driving this car very entertaining

But far more torque and loads of response.
It will be getting a turbo and injector upgrade in the near future and heading towards 400bhp.

Sorry about the bodge job...

See how it makes loads of bottom end torque, and way more than a std. 2.0 STI does... VS a 650 bhp 2.1.

It's a great example of what can happen "under the curve".
I'd defy anybody to drive that car and then suggest it has "only" 266 bhp.
Yes, the owner would like to explore the power potential, and he will, but we were very happy to prove it isn't always necessary to go mad on components to get a good result.

low down torque is awesome, my 2.5 makes 400lbs at 3500rpm, (thanks again martyn) the acceleration is brutal !
