I had a Thule for my classic, the feet hook into the gutters just above the windows with a rubber pad on the roof, never had any probs with it hauling about 60kgs of camping gear around, still got the feet if you want them, but you'll need the bars?

Staffy: have a look on e-bay, or on here, etc, for a genuine Scoob one. Make sure it has the "L" shaped brackets with it, (4 of them). Mine came with locks, second hand, paid a bloke £50 for it.
It is SOLID once in place, I reckon you could lift the car with it, LOL.
It carries four mountain bikes on their racks, and has been up to silly speds on a private track with no ill effect. WITH bikes in place
The L-shaped brackets hook under the plastic trim that covers the grooves in the roof, there are four spots where there are plates welded to the foof that the brackets go under. Then the rack clips onto the brackets, and if you have them fittted, four keyed alike locks are turned and it's on, and secure.
Takes me ten minutes to fit it, and less than 5 to get it off again.
