Ive done this on a customers car once actually Lee,just took the existing sprayers and mounted them in the cut out section of bumper and filled old hole's,it helped it was a mica blue car so unless you were very close you couldn't see them.
Don't think it made much difference but was happy to take his money for the job.

My car already had an intercooler water spray on the originalmtop mount, so took thenjets off, mounted them in the cut out upside down and facing the front mount, rerouted the pipes and jobs a good un, works a treat, and my number plate hides the jets as well.

If the intercooler is efficient you are wasting your time spraying water on it.
The purpose of water spray on a top mount was simply for homologation purposes on rally cars. If the rally car is sat waiting for the go at the start of a stage it can sit there for quite a long time and the TMIC/interwarmer gathers engine heat. The purpose of the spray was to reduce top mount temperatures just before the off.
On a front mount intercooler that is efficient it is unlikely you will be able to measure the benefit.

Last year I jammed snow in the scoop .... as it melted it cooled the intercooler and WHAM!!!

Don't know how many extra BHP I got - but it was impressive.

Later in the year I put Ice Cubes in the scoop onto the Intercooler rad ... same effect, fantastic.

Better still, FREE!!!!! A re-map if you like - for nowt!!

Dip yer bread ............
