service and re-map question??
ok bare with me.i bought a 2001 bugeye around 6 months ago and am in love!! but the old girl has 136k on the clock serviced every 6k by subaru but is now 100miles over its next one. i recently contacted scoobyworks in loughborough as i live in leicester.....i was quoted £391 full service,is this reasonable and are scoobyworks any good?? secondly been looking at getting a remap, nothing special just a tweak here and there because of the high milage i just want to remap the standard ecu???possible??? and get it runnin at its full potential. i have a centre decat but still the standard downpipe so like i said not lookin for huge power just a 'clean up' i guess. scoobyworks said this would be around £500 coz of the licence?? i also want the 'popping and banging' but reading other posts about this im best to go for the one where you have to 'breathe' the pedle to create the popping and banging otherwise it gets annoying yes?? sorry for going on but feel a bit lost? so should scoobyworks do all my work or just the service and then find someone else to remap my standard ecu i hear racedynamix do a good job? hope someone can help???
thanks
thanks

Hi there,
I'm not sure about scoobyworks, but I can vouch for racedynamix! He remapped my wrx and the car goes really well. I have a few mods on mine though. But I'm looking for Duncan to remap my car again in the next few months as I have a few more upgrades to put on. Duncan also travels around so would probably come to you as he met me all the way up here in Scotland.
Top bloke and really knows his stuff.
Doug

scoobyworks are very good. i,ve used them a couple of times and would reccomend them. i would say get all the work done there in one go. if paying for the remap i would also change the downpipe and uppipe to get the most out of the remap. oh and a k+n panel filter too

i would recommend scoobyworld/scoobyworks all day long....
i take mine there, good prices and friendly honest staff....i would also let neil map it..he has done a few members over on midland scoobies, and gets great results....if you live nearby just pop in for a chat, see what sort of feel you get for the place....
