Default First sighting...

...of an RS200 Out the front doing some work in the garden yesterday and a beautiful fully stickered up rally rep came past - sounded amazing when he gunned it in 2nd and 3rd. I hadn't seen one of the move before - quite an incredible sight. Just as I got back to my gardening I heard a more familiar rumble and a blue Blobeye STi came past the other way

WRX: was it the real thing, though?
A company called RSEvo did a replica a few years back used the original moulds for the shell, the suspension etc was as the real thing, but it used running gear from a Sierra RS Cossie.

They were apparently nicer to drive trhan the real thing and could be put on the road for under £18,000, with EVERYTHING.

That looks awesome (to me), but i kinda feel it will be one of those "dont meet your hero's moments" to drive. Things have moved on so much since the 80's.....would love a shot in that though, interior looks great....love it.

Could well have been a replica - to be fair I wouldn't have known - either way it looked and sounded the business. I live just up from an old castle - it's a popular weekend resort for lots of petrolheads - so get all sorts of exotica driving past - this was my fave to date though - it was that good.

Yeah, it's hard to tell.
The replicas were RWD, not 4wd, but they used the same Cossie motor, exhausts etc, so SOUND and LOOK the biz.

I was all set to have one, then the wife decided on a house in France instead......... for which we are still paying for renovations, only now at €1.10 instead of €1.62 when we bought
