Default what turbo?

hi,does anyone know what the oe turbo is on a 1998 v4 sti type r? mine looks like a vf series turbo but unsure which one.

I think it was the VF24 turbo Rich.

Im with chocolate, it should be a vf24.

Should be capable of around 320-330

I think about 320bhp from what I remember.

Upgrade to a vf35 or best a 18g mate, 360 plus bhp in a well sorted typer, with a few handling tweaks and bigger disk n pads and it will be a hoot to drive.

not really planning on upgrades,just finding out what the ins and outs are ot my new car.

cheers,tbh i had a my99uk turbo running 315 bhp and 320 lb ft on a vf35,my type r feels as quick if not quicker as standard!! its very lively!
