Red face In 4 weeks what have we spent on our scooby's

I'll start this eye opening thread.....

2007 STI Spec D 4 week spend

H&S exhaust system £500 (more or less)
Bailey BOV £110
K&N £41
30k service £440 @ Subaru4you
Front brakes £161.50 (thanks to Ian @ Godspeed brakes; superb)
12 months TAX at a special £435
Go go juice (fuel) £85
Snow Foam £22

£1794.50

I put this on here since i just spent an hour going through reciepts being convinced i had been a victim of internet fraud; turns out the criminal was parked on my drive the whole time....owww

A set of AVCS cams, some one-piece valves, springs, retainers, etc.

Let the 2.1 build commence...

I'm fairly sure we're all insane when it comes to these cars.

Near the end of this month, I'll have forked out for a forged 2.5. conversion on my hawkeye with all bits required to take it up to the right side of 450 bhp.....cause, of course, it was far too slow at 340!

The cost? Well, talking money is vulgar (and depressing!), but lets just say I could have purchased a new small car for the cost of the conversion! By any logical measure, financially, I'm being a right tool - you only ever lose money on a car!

That said, when you think what some people pi$s away on smoking/drink/drugs/gambling etc... there are worse things to put money into at least I'll have something to show for it (an empty wallet?)

Also, if there is one thing I have learned in life: you shouldn't put a price on the things that make you happy. If you can afford it without getting yourself into a dubious situation financially then just do it whilst you can!

Start Car
Let Car warm up
Get to roundabout
start stop watch
Hit rev limiter
get to work, stop stop watch
Smile about efforts
Repeat until bored, or low on fuel

The costs keep coming, but i keep
