Car dilemma
running costs ain't great for my wrx, about £55 per week on petrol.
I was originally thinking one day changing to a modded hawkeye, but then realised running costs ain't going to improve, however maybe to add LPG in it too.
and then i thought how about a performance diesel??
theres not many I know that has a big grunt, and looks cool.
So i only have only 1 choice,a used BMW 330d, (not 335d as its an auto, and can't afford a B3)
however it looks bland.. (my wrx is hitting 10years old, modded in and out and still turns head )
I can't decide to choose one day,... a 330d and some minor makeup, or a modded hawkeye with the option of LPG one day
what would scooby do?

IMO now that youve owned a scoob you will find it hard to move on. Ive had 5 scoobs amongst others GTR, GT4's and not long ago a 330D. All I can say is snore..... sold it within two months. I had bought it because I had a wee one and wanted to be sensible. **** it, you only have one life and thats too short so have what you want.
I now have what i want am im sensible with it Happy days!

Why a big car? My runabout is a T Plate Festa 1.25, cheap to repair, parts are all over the gaff and if it blows I'll get another one for a few hundred quid. Costs are a fraction of the Scoob and over twelve months it's costing less than when I used the Scoob as my daily drive and I am saving cash
Scoob £50 a week £2600
Festa £20 a week £1040.
£1600 thats my insurance, servicing, parts and tax with money to spare.

Just bought a new car for my wife & had no interest when I tried to sell her 5 yr old Fiesta. I've decided to use the Fiesta for going to work (driving in and out of Brum each day you rarely get above 25mph anyway) & save the Scooby for weekends & days off.

Just bought a A3 TDI last week for a runabout. Its my first turbo diesel and im very impressed. It pulls really well. I think it would be awesome after a remap!
