Being new to this game I just wondered if anyone could tell me if an L reg (94) uk Impreza Turbo should come with wrap around sports seats?

I've seen one advertised and examined it with a tooth pick, it's in silver and has covered 52,000 miles with full history inc reciepts with Graham Goode and Subaru. It also has every MOT since new.
The car was once owned by a friend of Graham Goode so is absoloutley mint out of its brains and has as I can see been very well looked after.

I'm just unsure as to if it should have the wrap around seats as this one hasn't and if it should have, should i give it a miss??

Thanks for all you help.

It should have really naff grey tweed-looking seats in it. Bu they can be swapped for a P1 interior or something

Don't let the seats put you off if the rest of the car is mint.

I bought a MY96 approximately 2 years ago which had the same crappy "tweed" type seats. Recently replaced them with some leather buckets out of a later model (thanks again to Andy at Grade A Subaru) which are superb

You should be able to pick up a set of front buckets and matching back seats on here, check the "for sale" section daily. Seen sets go for between £300-£400 depending on age and condition. You'll have to live with the door cards as I think these changed from MY97 onwards(and again later on) but you could probably spray them or have them matched in a similar material.

Good luck with the purchase, you won't regret it!

I bought a MY95 (M) UK 5 door a few months ago and was disappointed with the seats and the standard 15" wheels.

Thanks to Scoobnet I remedied the interior by fitting a newer style one off here for £200 and also picked up some twin spoke 16" alloys with tyres for £200 off this BBS also

I'll post some pictures sometime...

Agree with Chris.. I also have a MY96... the tweed seats have a reasonable grip on you when cornering, so you can replace them at a later date..

I needed removable head rests so have stuck with the tweed seats!

Question

reaton.....I'm hoping to fit a later interior off a wrecked
T-plater, does it all bolt in without any problems ? only thing I could see was a possible difference in the colour of the plastic, i.e. newer spec' door cards are darker than my MY94 dash...any advice ??

early UK cars came with what some call 'nissan micra' seats. The imports did have better ones though, can verify that as I have a MY94 WRX with slightly more supportive seats.

Hi again

Although not the best photos (but they were already on my PC!) here's a picture of the interior I got. As you can see, they are the small blue and black fleck style and fit straight in with no probs at all

I have actually got all the door card too but have yet to get round to fitting them

Hope this helps

Richard

Bucket seats arrived in 1997 for UK models, so it is normal.
