The indicator cancel, horn and airbag connections are done via a separate ring that sits behind the wheel. A lot of early after-market bosses were incompatible with this ring and caused issues, but not so with the factory stuff

As long as you get the loom and spinner it's a straight swap............I missed out on the spinner so I have to cancel by hand (Blob STi wheel in a Bug WRX). After a couple of months it's automatic.

Blob STi a lot smaller too and looks very nice as well

I did think that they were all the same from the MY99 classic up until the hatch, but from what Shaun is saying I'm now not so sure

Newage wheel fits OK, but requires spinner/clockspring AND it may need the airbag wiring modified.

Here's my Blob STi steering wheel from NickAdams which I bought on here..........bubble wrap, not a scratch on it and most importantly all the wiring which Alcazar above mentioned...

I fitted a blob v9 sti wheel on a blob wrx with 4 spoke wheel and the spigot ring behind worked fine on the 3 spoke wheel. Would have thought bug sti would be same as blob wrx 4 spoke wheel
