Default how much should head gasket cost froma local garage

Hi I have a 2000 renault scenic 1.6 and head gasket needs doing.
I was quoted 486 for gasket, bolts, skimmed, oil, oil filter and labour. Is this a good price?

cheers

If you haven't already: I would be looking as to why the HG went in the first place is there a problem with the cooling system? locked rad etc and get that sorted at the same time otherwise you could easily end up repeating the process.

Also it might e sensible to change the timing belt at the same time whilst you have half the engine out and check to see if the water pump is driven off of the timing belt (those froggies!) and change that.
