please say im not the only one.. lol
they seem to be a few vids up here with guys doing donuts.. i thought i'd attempt it today and killed the power steering in the process lol
was fun though.
thought i'd leave a warning for those who are thinking of it, highish revs on full lock..can kill your pump and leave it whining lol full lock is when the pump is strained most.
so play safe :

I found that while doing the "donutting"
There is very little need for high revs at all.
Just feather the throttle and she's not far off idling, jobs a good un and the world is spinning
Just remember to clear wheels of compacted snow inside the rim otherwise the balancing will be out and you'll notice vibration

also you shouldnt do it on full lock either, not good for drive shafts.
wish i could find a decent open space to mess about, but im worried about blowing something up, so wont be doing it anytime soon.

No point in going round in circles, would prefer to just use the handbrake and do some bits in the snow that way rather than get dizzy
Disclaimer:- You can only use a handbrake on a scoob if its fitted with DCCD, using it on a Non-DCCD equipped car will break your diff

My steering is also running a bit stiff and squeeling a little bit as well, mainly from cold? I reckon/hope its just the cold weather, last week I parked my car in a warehouse for a day and when I pulled out it was fine. As soon as it gets warm again I reckon it will be ok >
Donuts in the snow is for girls go and have some fun softy
Ps. My car was parked in a warehouse to get all the snow off it, wheels were full of snow and the wheel balance was shocking, worth it though

lol well it was dark, looked to be some fluid on the front of the engine.. opened power steering fluid and turned steering and it wasnt pumping.. give it some revs and it lightens the steering with a little whine.
pretty sure its the pump. fluid was on min cold. topped that up a little. how would i know if it just needs bleeding?
p.s. lol thats the end of my donutting career, first and last time
