How do you gauge what size is required? and would this not offer unwanted vibration?

PS This is nothing to do with Marc by the way, I should have check in advance before buying

Hiya Mate,

The studs pattern is multifit for both 100 and 114.

Hard to say how much the foul'd.

I just started doing the swap over tonight and realised after swapping both the rears that the fronts did clear .

So Ive taken them both of the rear for now (dont want to **** the diff)

I think Bonzee (Marc) was using K-Sports which im guessing had narrower calipers or deeper dish hubs?

Ive seen these, do you think they will be any good?

not sure if it will be your cup of tea? back when i got this..

it had brembo's, the wheels were technomagnesiums? (spell check) drove it for about 3 months and it needed pads, when i removed the wheels whoever had it before had put 2 heavy duty washers on each wheel stud. i removed them and tried to refit the wheel which it wouldnt clear the calipers. so because id drove it for 3 months with not even noticing the washers i drove it a further 6-7 months with the washers in again. these wheels then went onto my bugeye wagon sti with the same washers for another yr or so. i sold it about a yr ago and seen it on pistonheads 2 months ago with the same wheels.

so there is no problem there. obvously its not for some people liking. i never had kids bk then.

I think I will need to try washers for packing first anyway to see what gauge of thickness the spacers need to be, they seem to come in 5mm increments, 1 washer would be around 1mm I guess ?!??! I dont fancy packing half a dozen washers behind there.

Rob you will most likely need a 10mm spacer to get the wheels to clear the brembos.

CDF in the 'market place' do hub-centric spacers designed properly so you won't get vibration.

I had to get hubcentric spacers on my Hawk WRX to get my OZ Ultraleggras to fit over the STI brembos.

Hardest thing was braying the new wheel studs in from the back of the hub and constantly tightening the wheelbolts for 100miles whilst they settled. After that, there had been no issues at all.

About £120 I think I paid from Revolution.

Thanks mate, Ive just looked at their website, The only trouble is my STI wheels are 'verbally' sold, and he is wating for me to fit these before he can collect them, so awating for CDF to get them posted out on next day delivery at this time of year isnt likely to happen .

Hi

If you have the Dare Drift RS wheels in 7.5x18" ET45 rather than the 8.5" wide ones, you will need a pair of 5mm shims to clear the STi Brembo calipers. We have fitted loads of these wheels over the years and that is what we have used.
No need for hubcentric spacers when going 5mm as the hub on the Impreza still protrudes enough for the wheel to locate onto.
We have these in stock if you need some.
Hope this helps.

Thanks

Keith

As keith say's above I had them in 18 x 8.5 as supplied by Revolution and they cleared. 7.5s will require a spacer

Hurrah, the wheels are on the car with 6mm spacers courtesy of CAMS . I think as Keith and Bodski said above 5mm would probably have been ok.

The 6mm ones I have just put on look like they leave around a 2 to 3mm gap between the calpier and wheel.

Thanks for the help guys.

Rob

PS
Keith I would have given you a call if I had read this thread before running out to CAMS this morning, sorry.
