Wetter the Better - do it while you still can!
#1
Having been on Don Palmer's Wetter the Better course in February, I did it again yesterday! I learnt a lot from the first course ( - mainly how cr@p I was!!), but doing it again fairly soon afterwards has helped me enormously, and I left feeling exhilarated, and much more confident.
One other thing I learnt from Don - he's losing access to the MIRA circuit, and the WTB course at MIRA only has about four weeks to run. Apparently, MIRA want to discontinue allowing private courses to use their facilities, so if you are thinking of doing it, get your order in fast!

That is not good, I had hoped to go back down later in the year (following my previous visit heaven knows I need some sort of help ) but there is no way I could afford to do it again in the next month
I have / will e-mail those from the original group of us that were to go down to it earlier this year when it was frozen off, as they have paid, but now may not be able to go.
Don, I know you read this board when you get the chance, so I will just pass on my condolences from here, I hope you get something else sorted soon.

Bogus!
I hope Don can arrange something else in time for summer. I was hoping to do it WTB then!
Looks like i'll never be able to go now
Simon, how this affect your sideways world record attempt?

Addendum.
First brands group get's all ar**y about who can and who can't go on tracks, then track insurance rockets and now this.
Soon we won't be able to drive anywhere.
Give it 10 years and we'll be doing wetter the better on our pushbikes and using clothes pegs to clip cardboard to wheels to make a broom broom nose.
Scoobysport clothes peg anyone?

melpaul2002,
MIRA is just beyond Hinckley on the A5 (1st junction off the M69, going north). Cost of the course is Ł295. (NB I've got no connection with Don - just think this course is brilliant!). Don's number is 01628-784911.
Don said that he's looking around for somewhere else, so it's possible that the course may be resurrected in the future in a different form.

If any one thinks that this is the end of learning as we know it, or learning as we teach it they've got another thing coming!
My wife put it beautifully in a note I received yesterday…
"Just remember it's not where they learn but what,
and how well,
and the impact that the learning has on their lives beyond that point"
We already have a few options and will be keeping you all informed fully of our plans as they near to launch.
Mean time a real thank you all for the support you have given us and for the fun and entertainment that we have enjoyed together.
Best wishes indeed
