Default URGENT HELP NEEDED

My key fob has stopped working, and now I cant dissarm the engine immoboliser to get the engine started.

I have tried entering 'the code' into the manual over ride in the glove box, but as I expected, it didn't work.

I'm hoping that this is a simple case of a flat battery in the key fob (red light still flashes, so not completely flat).

Questions:

1) Will the spare key fob work (it did when i picked the car up - is there any reason it shouldn't?)

2) Will a set of new batteries solve the problem?

3) Whats the correct product name for the batteries?

4) How do I go about getting the correct code if the key
fobs don't work?

Thanks.

Spare should still work.

New batteries should work unless the remote has got out of sequence etc.

The batteries are coin batteries and the number is on the battery itself so have a peek as it will depend on your model.

Have a search on the forum re changing the code as Sigma sam has mentioned it several times and it can be changed easily if you have a working remote.

Give Keith at ScoobyProjects a call on 01531 635097 - he's somewhat of a guru with the Sigma alarms...

Replaced batteries in the key fob - worked on 3rd attempt. Lets hope it still works later on!

With new batteries it is sorted and there is no reason for it not to be.

I will have to read up on that. Dont like the way you have to input the numbers, hard to tell if you are actually pressing them, or thats its registering your inputs.
