Dosent really advertise the shifter as the camera is faced out the window rather than at the shifter. For that kind of money you could build a good box and just flatshift, good drivers rarely miss gears, but it does happen....

are their any downsides to these kits? i take it you can have paddle and the stick working, just like the wrc cars?

can they break at all? or pretty reliable?

Hi there for any question about this you can ask Matt Clark of Roger Clark Motorsport(which use these shifters)and here is interesting thread about this https://www.scoobynet.com/drivetrain...rsion-kit.html
Which i know from KAPS yes you can use paddle shifter and stick,is up to you.Downside is maybe just:clutch is required(is not clutchless) and probably you must this fit which will be pricey(or if you are good with spanner or DIY,will be much cheaper)

How are they the same or similar?

The KAPS system converts your car to a "flappy" paddle based system and includes hydraulics for clutch operation. (i.e. You just pull or push the paddle by the steering wheel ala wrc and dont press the clutch during shifts)

Whereas the ikeya kit bolts inplace of your shifter turning the H pattern sequential. (up and down) and you still need to operate the clutch.

Completely different.

Hi matey you are probably mean 6 speed Full sequential Transmission which with sytem is operated clutchless with this Sequential Shifting System SSS Drive KAPS Transmissions
Here is article about this http://www.sssdrive.com/news_eng.php?id=946
Are similar in some details, but KAPS is more advance and is controlled via hydraulics
