Hi guys,just after so info on a vf22 turbo such as what it is capable of,i dont know anything about the turbo but have one fitted to my 02 bugeye which was fitted when bought,also any ideas what mods should be fitted to get the best out of the turbo thanks steve71

Well its the biggest vf Series turbo, so laggy, its also fragile, actually the most fragile of the VF series turbo's.
The question you have to ask is "is my car mapped for this turbo", if its not then you could have some problems

thanks for quick reply tony,i dont actually know if its been mapped,if i was to get the car mapped would this sort some of the problem out with turbo being fragile,i am all new to this and this is my first scooby so all advice will be taken on board,i am going to take the car to harveys in darlington next week would he be able to tell if the car has been mapped thanks

you need to find out history really from a previous mapper if not then think somebody else will map it. as for turbo these are just fragile compared to newer turbos. i think the blades are sceptipal to breaking but not sure

There are a few been pushed to 350bhp+ but if it's peace of mind your after then mine has run 300bhp for 163k now.

Thanks wrx287 I think that's what I am after more piece of mind ,300 seems fine to me just don't want to push it if they are fragile like the guys have said
