Could anyone give me some advice on what is the problem with my car it wont start. I got a code 53 which means 'communication error(time over) according to the codes. Ive just had my engine re-built and put it back in the car, any advice would be great

I would get someone who has a Select Monitor to find out the specific fault.

 

Immobiliser.

 

Do you reckon speedking!!! Just annoying cant figure out what it is. The car has got a remote central locking alarm and imobiliser its a factory fitted subaru one. When you open the door with the remote it opens then when you get in the car you turn the key so the dash lights are on then press the fob and the inmobiliser light flashes then it will turn over but not start if i dont press the fob for the light to flash then it wont even turn the starter motor over its just dead so i was sure it was working fine because of this. The car has no spark by the way but you can hear the fuel pump working when you turn keys on

 

Don't know about your model, but on mine the light flashes (blinks) all the time. When the fob is activated the light goes on constant to indicate that the car can start. May be different for you.
