Strange, even if the ECU has been locked by a previous EcuTeK mapper it should be possible to re-map it, just not using that licence.

Who was re-maping??

Hi matey your ECU is locked, because(probably)you have EcuTek remap at present day,if yes you must find who mapped your car before and ask him for licence or just get this mapper tweak your map(for tweaking map is price lower at most cases).
If is not EcuTek'd,find different mapper like Duncan@Race dynamix,Rich@FB Tuning(fiestaboy) or JGM and i'm sure these guys will help you..

Eclipse? Don't even go there.

Andy F is less than an hour up the A1 from you if it's ECUtek'd.

There is no one locally that remaps ECU's, get ready for a drive and don't get worried by the drive as a good map means your engine will be safe

Ecutek lock doesnt work on 2001-2007 ecus - never had a problem remapping any of them.

Dynamix...........I thought the old fashioned "TeK 1" from the early days was a "fire and forget generic" map with no chance of tweaks or going back with the ECUTek software / dongle.

My Bugeye ECU was reflashed in a car park in about 2002 (TeK 1) and when Bob Rawle came to re-map it later I had to pay for a new licence

I havent seen any issues mapping anything that has been previously ecuteked, ppp'ed or otherwise. Only issue is the very early bug PPP where it has a gems piggyback ecu on there which needs to be removed (or ecu sold and new unmapped one fitted)
