Bike swap for scooby
I currently have a 99 R6 in good condition but with the bad weather on its way i'm thinking of getting a car.I have been offered a swap on the bike for a W plate uk 2.0 turbo impreza,115,000 miles, full mot and tax, recent oil and filter change, full subaru service history and in very tidy condition.
What i would like to know is a rough figure as to the value of the car and what sort of mpg i would get if used sensibly.I would appreciate your comments as i reckon you guys would be the best people to ask and although i know a lot about bikes and cars in general i have never had anything to do with subarus.

bike swap
Hi mate i have a 2002 wrx sportwagon and the value of that is around 4 grand maybe a little more the mpg is around 18-24mpg.I am not sure on the value of your bike but i would think the scooby's value can't be much more than 2 grand just get yourself a little banger which you wouldn't be bothered about knocking or denting keep the bike i would love a R6 but me missus won't allow it until she gets her 4 bed house holiday in bali and a 2grand eternity ring.Guess i will not get one unless i leave that's a thought in it.

I've got both. An R6 (5EB) and a 52 plate WRX Sti (had 3 UK Turbos as well). Not too sure of the values exactly, but a mint 5EB R6 would be around the right value of a good turbo.
The mpg won't be amazing in the impreza, but it's not too heavy if used sensibly. The major differences will be things like insurance (I'm paying £200 for the bike and £600 for the STi), and servicing. On the plus side, imprezas are a lot better in the winter than bikes!
