Be careful with 2nd hand tyres!
I bought/won 3 Dunlop Runflat tyres off Ebay and picked them up in person to be sure they were as described.............all with 7mm and no puncture repairs. I even gave the fella a few quid extra as I was well pleased with them.
Today I went to get them fitted and the tyre fitter agreed I got a steal at that price.................until he showed me that all 3 had slits in the sidewall, clearly from knife damage, and therefore fit for 'F' all.
I am always wary with Ebay items and on inspection they looked spot on but the slits could not be seen until the tyres were inflated. So beware!
I wonder what the seller thought when my 2 children assisted him in carrying/rolling the tyres from his house to my car? ****!

I had a similar experience last year and will only buy tires new now or from trusted friends.
I bought a set of 4 Eagle GSD2s on ebay, supposedly brand new, fitted but never used. Picked them up and they seemed ok although they had definitely been on the road. Took them home and discovered they were 4 years old and one had a slit in the sidewall.
I suspect the guy didn't know about the split but he was a **** about it.
never again.

when buying best to check the date they where made , date will be on the wall of tyre that sits on the inside of the arch
will read something like 1209
the 12 being the week of the year it was made and the 09 being the year
(12th week in 2009)
tyres do have a shelf life

some guy came into my shop the other dat with some 2553019 runflats that he had bought on ebay , they had yellow markings on so they had been in a kwic fit or somewhere along those lines as they use this coluerd chalk
i fitted the tyre and blew it up but it was like a colinder lol
someone had drilled 11 or 12 holes all the way round the wall .(probably to stop it being re sold ) the guy was pissed off as the other one he had was the same .

I'm pleased your going to get it sorted.
I wouldn't put them on a performance car ether! just paid over £400 for tyres for my car today!
The only time I have used second hand tyres was when I had a diesel pug 205 for winter use don't think that would count as a performance car

I suppose you wouldn't agree with any 2nd hand Alloys, Suspension parts, Brakes, Steering Wheels, Seatbelts, etc, etc.......and you would never have a puncture repaired?
I think you spelt your username slightly wrong too.
