Default toddler crushed by huge tv

hi all , my toddler yesterday decided to pull my 50" plasma off the stand onto himself, i got the call and broke every limit in the land(good old scoob) got home rushed him to a&e to find hes ok thank god, swollen lips , nose and cheek bone cuts and grazes but the tv is dead!
wheres the cheapest place to get a 42" or bigger one to put me on until the insurance coughs up a new one, new or second hand will do,.

Think it's Tesco doing 42" samsungs at £399 at the moment.

You gonna go 3D with the new one? They are coming down in price massively already. I'm tempted!

That's not good but at least he's alright(ish) how did he manage it and how is? I've got my 50" mounted on my wall and although I worried about it falling off it's been fine and it's the best way I feel.

I got mine from richer sounds so that's somewhere to look, you also might find something 2nd hand on here or ebay if you're lucky

When I broke my laptop (long story) we contacted the insurance and it took less than a week to get the voucher card through to get a new one.

Don't you have a spare (not so fancy TV) that could do for a few days or so? Maybe it's just that we're on a budget, but it just seems a waste of money as a short term purchase.

Very lucky boy you have there. Was dreading reading it was going to be a lot worse (from another Dad who has a son pulling stuff out of walls and onto himself a lot too).

Hope you get it sorted mate and wish your lad a speedy recovery.

I've just got a 46" samsung 1080p, led etc etc, cost me £995 and samsung give you £100 cash back, awesome tv.
Don't go 3d yet, they are ****e and although it's a novelty that will wear off as the picture quality at the moment isn't great, wait a few years and they should be spot on, they are just not worth the extra £££
