Default ebay

The forum is usualy full of guys complaining how they got ripped off buying stuff on ebay,
I thought id tell you a story that is ongoing with us

We advertised a set of AP calipers with rotors pads and most of the hardware,
these are used brakes that have been off the car a year or more,
we described them as used with skimmed discs Most or the bolts for fitting, and used pads, some guy from Austria won them for £108... Unreasonable???

then for some strange reason he paid ebay 400 euros, he arranged someone to pick them up and deliver them to austria,
now the fu**wit is sending threatening messages on ebay saying how dare we sell him such **** for 400 euros??? and he will complain to ebay and call the police,,,

I am gobsmaked we sent all the messages regarding the condition via ebay the origional adver described them perfectly,

he says the seals leak...not surprising hes paid £108 for a set of AP calipers and discs with mounting hardware, seals do dry out,
youd have thought hed have planned on a seal kit at least,
hes saying the pads are worn FFS there used brakes what does he expect,

oh well we will see

Apologies. I've been scammed in the past before and in my first reading it sounded as if what you were selling was still usable. I have not seen the ebay ad so cannot comment.
What i do read is:
-how does a buyer pay more than what ebay/paypal is asking for? usually i just click pay it now and proceed with paypal.
-item sold at £108 but what was postage? does that bring it to the 400 euro mark?
-the buyer is obviously hacked off at the quality of the goods otherwise he wouldn't be complaining, suggest the ad wasn't clear OR his understanding was poor.

Either way im sorry and im not trolling or looking to start a debate, but your fingers up smiley suggested to me you didnt give a hoot.

i couldnt have been more clear to the seller re the condition,
why he paid 400 euro is beyond my comprehension he got the stuff picked up form my house so he wouldnt have had to pay me any postage,
he is austrian but his english is good enought to threaten me with a paypal dispute and the police,
anyway all the messages re the condition were sent via ebay so they should hopefully come down on my side, the fingers up was aimed at the nice person in Austria
what i was selling was usable, as it turns out with a quick overhaul kit if this Guy is to be beleived
and i wouldnt have known if the seals leak or not,
AP brakes for £108 including discs and mounting aint exactly a rip off

thanks
