If I had my car mapped on 99 ron fuel, but had a bit of a problem when out somewhere and could only get 97 ron, would a small amount of octane booster suffice so that I had no worries till next time I filled up, as still undecided what to get my jdm my05 mapped with, I know 99 will give an edge on performance, I have managed with using 99 only for the last few months but am a little worried in case I get stuck anywhere, I only have tesco fuel by me as the shell has been knocked down. Is it worth the hassle to be mapped on 99 or is the difference not noticeable

Yeah, get it mapped on Tesco 99 if that's your nearest one.

Filling up with 97, with octane booster would be fine.
