AFAIK, it's standard car metal primer and paint.

Just done mine with Hellfrauds grey primer and gloss black paint. Look spot on. Every bit as goot as the set I had resprayed professionally for £300.

2 x 500ml primer

2 x 500ml paint

1 x 500ml hardener

So 5 cans all in all.

Same here. 3 large cans of primer and 3-4 cans for top coat. Did give them few coats and just t-cut and polished after. Leave them for long enough to dry before doing that though. Did all mine in 2 days (with tyres on still - just masked a lot)! Good luck!

I just rubbed out curb marks and corrosion with sand paper about 80 grade you can use a graphite stone for bad curbing and then use wet n dry to smooth it all out bfore painting

I never filled mine as there was only grazing on the outer rim so i just smoothed it of plus satin paint doesnt show up imperfections too badly but i guess if when you get any high points of there would be no harm using filler to sort out any low points

you can use normal body filler for minor curbing, if using rattle cans 2 primer will do 4 wheels, 2 colour and 2 laquer basically 1 can will do 2 wheels as a genaral rule. Also if using a paint gun then 1/4 litre of colour will do 4 wheels with a 2-1 mix ratio. Only difference between powder coat a refurb company use and the paint you can use is the powder coat is more durable and is more resistant to chips scratches etc. but not by much. my wheels are painted with anthracite (exactly the same colour as the equivelent colour powder coat) and they are still looking good after months.

Did the same with mine, didn't use filler just filed the bad bits down carefully and sanded everything smooth. Look great. On bad wheels previously I have used J.B.Weld adhesive to fill the big holes/kerb marks and then filed down.

I used 4 cans primer & 4 cans top coat for 4 wheels.
