Plastic/Rubber Sill Mouldings
Re. the above on a 1999 T UK Turbo Wagon are these sill mouldings easily taken off?
I was contemplating removing them to check condition of sills and perhaps inject some dinitrol.
How are they attached no doubt one of those jobs that ends up with all the fastenings broken and cant put them back on.
Thanks.

Easy to get off? Fairly, although more difficult the older the car gets and if they've not been off before
Easy to break fittings? Yep
However, help is at hand, as your helpful Scoob dealer will keep the bits you need to replace, and in my case, being 30 miles away, sent 'em me in a jiffy bag in return for a credit card number
There are clips at the front and rear in the wheel arch, can't remember if they pick out the centre, or unscrew the centre.
Once they are out there are about half a dozen bolts underneath.
This is where your problems start: the bolts rust, and they set solid in their holes which are nylon inserts. If you force the bolt, and you have to, you destroy the insert. THAT'S the bit you'll need to replace.
Hint: the bolts are VERY close to roofing bolts, which are available in stainless. Replace the lot before replacing the mouldings. I'd get four more clips for front and rear too, they are pence from the dealer

Many thanks alcazar.
If i have read you right then apart from the wheel arch fastenings they are bolted on from underneath???
I thought they may be attached with clips horizontally rather than vertical if that makes sense.
Forgive my ignorance but you say replace with stainless roofing bolts.
What are roofing bolts and where do i get them.
I understand you say replace the inserts available from Subaru.
Forgive my lack of mechanical Skills.
