I just got a replacement steering wheel with airbag and the connector spring, however the yellow connector is a bit different to what I had.

At the moment my connector has 3 wires - a dark blue, green/white and brown wire, where as the new one has 2 wires - a yellow/black, yellow/green wire.

It looks as if the green/white wire is not being used, so was going to attempt to make a custom converter. My question is, does the following wires connect as below:
(1)
blue - yellow/green
brown - yellow/blue
green/white - nothing

- or -
(2)

blue - yellow/blue
brown - yellow/green
green/white - nothing

That's a seriously dodgy thing to be messing with...
Get the right part or risk serious injury

Another note for anyone attempting this is that the auto canceling turn signal does not work, however the clock spring of the facelift models inside seems more durable then the old one I had.
