Reset ECU, MY05 PPP WRX
Hi,
I want to be able to run diagnostics/reset on my MY05 WRX PPP wagon (blobeye). I just want to ensure that the following VAG-COM cable will work with my car? Or do these only work with the older bugeyes and classic models?
http://preview.tinyurl.com/3yo9pyz
I presume the PPP ECU works just the same as a 'regular' WRX ECU?
I have read on people buying these (the listing states it works with ECU Explorer...), but want to make sure it works OK on my blobeye.
Thanks in advance

Mini-update -
Havent had much time to mess about with it yet but I recieved the cable from the link above. Plugged it into my netbook (running Windows XP Home), installed the driver from the driver cd that came with it. I then proceeded to install the latest ECUExplorer.
Plugged the lot into my cars OBDII port and it seems to be working fine so far. Was able to read instant readouts, as well as reset my ECU. No fault codes were logged to begin with which is a bonus.
Gave the data logging a try - it did log for 5 mins but then the computer seems to lock up. I am unsure as to whether this is a fault with the laptop going to sleep or something, or a software fault. I was still able to read back what was logged fine though.
Car felt smoother to drive after the ECU reset. I gave the ECU fast learning trick a go, though I am unsure how much difference that made.
Next I will try ROMRaider.
Money well spent though so far!
