Got a nice bit of sun shine today so i thought why waste it. Got all my bits together and fitted my catch can (thanks Merv) and at the same time carried out a air box resonator delete.
All running really nice and looks a bit better to.
looking good...... now getsome cleaner and give that bay a scrub
Cheers mate. Yeah i know, i've got the gunk and other bits ready to go, been meaning to give it a scrub for a while now but..

Ta. Looks so much better than the big old OE res box imo. She did get a wash and wax as well this morning, and as the sun stayed out..

Thanks. Yes, as you can see i have a Dawes Device, but it is chipped as well which lets me boosts to 17.5psi, and spools a bit quicker too. It still boost cuts when it gets down to freezing outside so a little tweek from summer to winter and visa versa but thats no biggy.
can you post up how you get on with the resonator delete please? i am thinking about doing the same but heard that the increased airflow can mess with the maf giving afr problems? cheers.

Will do mate. I've had the Evoscan on it, but the AFR guage is showing c.0.1 richer all round. Not a problem IMO, and makes sense to me as there is less air going in due to the breathers being diverted to the catch can (that was the main reason for doing the delete). I will keep my eye on it and try and get the lappy plugged in at some point but as there is no noticable change, i'm in no hurry.
The more techincal people on here (Mr Splitpin for one), will advice you of changes in air speeds/density etc, which is of course to be respected and understood, but i have yet to hear of an engine self destructing due to a resonator delete. And it has been performed many, many times.
Does this mean the bats back on the road then not seen the old girl about.
i shall be keeping my eye out lol .
Nah not yet. Had her out for a quick run this afternoon but it's tucked up nice and warm for the winter now, will bring her back out end of Feb (ish). Change of job and all that, i don't even need a car . But i sure as hell aint selling.

thanks for that. i want to take mine out just for a little bit more induction noise and less weight and pretty sure that logic would dictate no signifcant problems associated with deleting it.
Yeah, bet they lovin' you round there. I use to live out at the creek, had a big black M5 with a straight through stainless, i was, like you. Wakey wakey!
if im on early shift and take the scoob to work when i get home from work i always get the look from people in my street when they walk pass always put a smile on my face
