Default Nice Constuctive Sunday Afternoon.

Got a nice bit of sun shine today so i thought why waste it. Got all my bits together and fitted my catch can (thanks Merv) and at the same time carried out a air box resonator delete.
All running really nice and looks a bit better to.

Ta. Looks so much better than the big old OE res box imo. She did get a wash and wax as well this morning, and as the sun stayed out..

Thanks. Yes, as you can see i have a Dawes Device, but it is chipped as well which lets me boosts to 17.5psi, and spools a bit quicker too. It still boost cuts when it gets down to freezing outside so a little tweek from summer to winter and visa versa but thats no biggy.

can you post up how you get on with the resonator delete please? i am thinking about doing the same but heard that the increased airflow can mess with the maf giving afr problems? cheers.

Will do mate. I've had the Evoscan on it, but the AFR guage is showing c.0.1 richer all round. Not a problem IMO, and makes sense to me as there is less air going in due to the breathers being diverted to the catch can (that was the main reason for doing the delete). I will keep my eye on it and try and get the lappy plugged in at some point but as there is no noticable change, i'm in no hurry.

The more techincal people on here (Mr Splitpin for one), will advice you of changes in air speeds/density etc, which is of course to be respected and understood, but i have yet to hear of an engine self destructing due to a resonator delete. And it has been performed many, many times.

thanks for that. i want to take mine out just for a little bit more induction noise and less weight and pretty sure that logic would dictate no signifcant problems associated with deleting it.
