Tire Pressures for 19inch Prodrive wheels running 245/35ZR19
Hi, I search the forum but could not see any advice on this. I have just got a March 2010 Subaru Impreza WRX STI with PPP and 19inch Prodrive wheels running a set of Nexen N3000 245/35ZR19 tyres. I cannot find any information on the recommended tyre pressures – could you advise please? Thanks, Peter

The tyre manufacturers say follow the car makers suggestions...
And vice versa.
I use standard Subaru settings + 3 psi at both ends.

Standard recommendation for 17" and 18" wheels on the door sticker is 2.3/1.9 Bar or 33/28 PSI for Front/Rear...
Yes, certainly won't be replacing like for like when they are due:-) I won't start the which is best discussion here as I am sure there are other threads on that:-) thanks for the advice so far, Regards, Peter

Out of interest asked Prodrive who made the wheels and got the following:-
Thank you for your enquiry. Due to the many variations that can effect tyre pressures we have no record of recommended tyre pressures for a range of wheels and tyres. We would suggest you to speak to your local dealer or tyre specialist who should be able to advise you.
Interesting if lacking in building my confidence! Peter

Yes the wheels/tyres came with the car from the dealer - it was a demo for 6 months. They recommended 30psi all round but that sounded a bit odd to me - hence checking the group here, Peter

Hi, thought this might be interesting for anyone else running 19" wheels! Spoke to Prodrive who were not too helpful, spoke to Subaru and their technical departments said they normally run the 19” wheels at the same pressures as the standard 17" and 18" wheels which on the door sticker is 2.3/1.9 Bar or 33/28 PSI for Front/Rear...
Plus I have just decided to get rid of the nasty Nexen’s and try some Michelin Pilot Sport 3s, need to move up from a 245/35ZR19 to 255/35ZR19 but I can’t see 10mm additional width giving a problem… The price is a bit eye watering but then again what is the point in handicapping a quick car with “not so good” tyres! Regards, Peter

Just a thought before you splash out on new tyres, I ran 19" on Pirelli P-zero nero's and it tramlined like a coke addict following a line of white. I went to 18" OZ superleggera's and the ride was much better
All IMHO

I run 36 front and 34 rear on my hatch with Conti SP3 tyres. They are fantastic.
Any less and it feels too vague / rubbery... lol...
I was recommeded these pressures by Powerstation who did all the development work on the Litchfield T20 hatch, (and sorted my suspension mods).
