Question

I'm looking towards importing an STI7 from Europe, with the help of Keyring Cars, and my question is regarding the extra undersealent that Subaru UK treat their cars with to help deal with the c**p UK weather.

Is this something that can be purchased and applied by a garage after I collect the car, as it seems like bl***y good idea to have this extra protection in the UK.

Has anybody done this already?? If so would you be able to give me an indication of cost and who to contact.
I'm in Lincolnshire.

Thanks for your time with this one.

I've not done a scoob but I have undersealed other cars, I was in the trade for nine years

You could try doing a search for Tetrosyl or Waxoyl but you'd prolly have more luck going to your local autofactors and asking them instead. You can get underseal in aerosols or to brush on, brush on is prolly easier and less messy.

Having said all that, unless you have access to a ramp or pit you'd be best just going to a garage or body shop and gettin them to do it!

Best of luck

just re read your post

I'd say no more than an hours labour...£40ish and prolly as much again in sealant.

Thumbs up

Underseal £1 a Tin in the Pound Shop - pick up a set of brushes too, no need to be good brushes - you bin them after!! take each wheel off and give it a good caking. Pop it up on the 4-poster and coat the bottom - Cost £2 ... and a job well done!

Dont bother with a Subaru Dealer putting it on - they use the local monkey and it always comes off within 6 months!

Thanks for your help with this fellas'. It sounds as though it won't be a big job to get it done.

Appreciated..
