Please be aware of an unmarked Police BMW around the Hilton Park services on the M6 near to Stafford. Saw him pulling someone on Friday, and also saw him travelling at about 80mph close behind other cars - i.e. gauding them. He travelled as far as Keele services Northbound.
Details are:
Metallic Grey BMW 535/540i
2 Aerials on the boot, 2 coppers
Cheers

Well, the coppers deserve it if you ask me. Have the two of them nothing better to do than fly around the M6 stopping people for travelling at 75mph when it is relatively quiet?????

Well i drove down the M6 from Preston (J31) to Cannock (J12) and the only dangerous drivers that i saw were a dark (black) vauxhall whose steering wheel was broken and thus could not turn left (i.e. out of lane 3, despite anyone in front or to his left).
Similarly there was a small white van who was far to busy talking to his hands-free to see a car, first behind, then in lane two, then flashing his headlights, then back to lane three with right turn indicator on, then flashing again, then lane two plus a couple of flashes followed by lane three and prolonged flashes.
Eventually i undertook (yes, this is and illegal manouver!) in lane one, with a totally empty lane two, and with w*nkbrake in lane three still oblivious to anything around him!!!
Shame that Mr BMW DLC was not around at the time

Used to live in Lancashire, going back a few years, I was doing an Advanced drivers course with intructor (in his, vehicle marked as such!) on the M6, I was pulled over at exactly 75mph and told that my speeding was 'unaccecptable' (despite it being quiet, good weather, etc).
I am always very careful when taking the WRX north of B'ham, down here the police don't seem as unreasonable!

It annoys me when I hear other stories of other people mentioning Police driving up your @rse goading you to blast off.
The Police should know better and should set an example and not do this as it's not only dangerous but immature & down right dirty.
I'm off to Oulton Park on Thursday to do an Audit TT track day and if I get any Rozzers sitting up my @rse I'm gonna pull over and have words.
They're there to uphold the law not tease others into breaking it.

Dont worry too much, I know for a fact that theres no unmarked BMW within the staffordshire police force. Cheshire use quite a few unmarked BMW's so it could of been on a 'follow', but the only unmarked vehicles within staffordshire's bounderies are Vauxhall Omega's and Vectra's.
