Default Inporting an EU car to UK...

A friend of mine has imported a car from Japan to Lithuania and now is thinking to get it here. The car is v6 sti ra v ltd , all the fees have been paid there and the car is with red (transit) temporary number plates at the moment. The question would be: Does he need to pay some extra fees here in UK , or just get the insurance , mot, tax done and get it regestered. Thanks in advance.
