Default STI Engine blowing stuff

Guys as we all know the STI has a few of us pissed off with the engines blowing, as far as i can see its a ring problem am i right ?

if so could people like Lichfields etc not replace them with some ACME rimgs or something <<< example

is it a massive job or would 500 quid cover it to have some that wouldnt blow up ? like some uber duber ones ?

cheers

Just i want a 330R bad but im hesitant on this sore ring syndrome ooo err

Subaru have said that, if you use the car as designed, there will be no issues ..... go and buy your 330 ...

500 paid to who? The time it would take to change the rings would be a fair bit more than 500 I imagine. Then you've got to buy the rings.

If I were to charge to do the job, for labour I would charge 400. But a garage etc probably double, atleast.
