Do an oil and filter change yourself.....
then get it serviced at 15k... would be my advice... anything else they change in the service pretty much just makes it run better,
the oil is the only one that might cause damage if not changed... although if it has been driven regularly within the 6months I would think it would be fine... to just run untilk 15k as long as you let it warm up and cool down.. if not and you drive with a lead boot then change the oil.
IMHO...

Although I've only covered just over 11K my car is overdue on the servicing front if I were to stick by the 6 month guideline.
Stupid question, but this is surely only for cars with 3 year warranties isn't it ?
If I have a import and the 1 year warranty has expired I can wait until I reach 15K can't I ?
Anybody know different ?
Thanks

Probably a question of how much you value your car really. Have you spoken to someone like Steve Lawson or one of the independent specialists like Scoobysport? If you want Steve's contact details - drop me an email.

Daz,
What you need to do is re-evaluate how you view servicing.
Many people see servicing as an inconvenience or uneccessary expense, yet in reality servicing is an essential part of car ownership. Oil changes especially are crucial for the long term reliability and performance of turbo cars, in fact I change my oil every 3k miles just to be on the safe side.
If you intend to keep your car for a few years then you should consider having at least the oil changed every 6k miles or 4 months, which ever is sooner. Your engine will love you for it, I promise..
