Classic for me anyday. Newage if you want a big heavy family car with some power. Classic if ye want that raw power with the odd rattle and squeek. They dont make them like they used to. Go for a classic.

I was in the same prediciment some months ago,i thought i would get the newest scoob i could afford which would have been a bugeye WRX.
But for nearly the same money i got a my00 STi the last year of the classic and i love it,far better car and far better looking too!

Buy a classic STI all day long..... If you could afford the Bugeye STI I would say go for that all day long, better car by miles..... Not as chuckable std but far string all round with better power delivery thanks to the AVCS .

I went for the bugeye, main reason was three proper belts in the back for the kids. I prefer the look and drive of the classics but the lap belt was a no no for me.

i was originally getting a bug. lovely wine red one with kit... but then i seen my white 97 sti classic and that was it for me. i don't regret it one bit. . go with your heart and first instinct or you might end up thinking what if....raw power and ferocious acceleration from the classic wins it for me

Waht is the car going to be used for? If a weekend toy then a late classic STi etc.

However I can't see what all the fuss is about the Bugeye. From a classic feels much more like a car and is better put together.

I've had a WRX Bugeye and now on my current STi Bugeye. The difference is a long stretch.

If you can find a good STi Bugeye get that you won't regret it.
