Default New shape STI at Subaru Walldonway

I spotted this new STI at Walldonway when I was getting my car serviced last week. Bruce said the MD was test driving it.

I really like the look of it from the front in the first two pics.
Very mean looking!

But when you view it from the side just looks very tame and like most other modern family saloons. Have to say, from the side it looks very similar to the new BMW 5-door 3-Series.

It's even worst from the rear, reminds me of a Toyota Avensis

i like that a much better looking effort over the hatch.

i'd actually give thought to buying that, whereas the hatch had me thinking i'd never buy another scooby again.

yeah it's a bit BMW/Lexus looking but is that really a bad thing? a bit of a grown up scooby.

has anyone any idea the dimensions of the car, looks pretty wide but not as long as the saloon? in other words would it fit on my drive?

Better than the hatch, though I think Subaru are misguided if they think this can take on the likes of the M3 and the Audis in the executive/rep market. The rear looks better to me without a spoiler which looks odd in my opinion above the Accent/Avensis lights. So in ten years we have gone from classic to bug to blob to hawkeye to hatch to saloon. Are any other manufacturers this indecisive?

Rebadged Passat from 5 years ago anyone?

Are Subaru no longer able to design something of their own?

See their ad about Mediocrity............it's them!

Would they not let you look inside?

Love the front, but the wing mirrors and the rear arches are just far too big and bulky, and the rear end is badgetastic! Oh and let's not forget to missing spoiler. Besides that it looks pretty cool.
