my car has a z4 ecu in but i think it mite possibly be faulty or bein played with as it only boosts to 0.7 bar and the inside of the ecu has blue marker pen in a number of places ? is this correct or not what should it boost to thanks

 

Z4 if I remember right is for the MY96 WRX?

Should boost to 1.1 bar I think as the UK turbos' boosted to 0.9 bar.

I'd try get hold of another ECU the same and swap them

yes its a 1995 import will try another ecu tomorrow as 11 psi isnt right should be 13 psi according to that chart

 

Hmm, looking at that then 1.1 bar may have been for the later model years.

12.71 PSI is slightly under 0.9 bar so god knows Try another ECU as said if possible.

 

Z4 should boost to 0.9,dropping to 0.8, the polar performance chip boosted to 1.1 as did the ppp chip offf the later classics.

 

tried another ecu still boosted to 11 psi spoke to a friend he said remove the pipe at the bottom of the boost solinoid and drive the car so did that boosted up to 15 psi then droped to 14 soon as that pipe is on with the pill in it wont boost past 11 psi ???? obviasly there is sumthing wroung here but what is wroung is the pill 2 big or 2 small as ive neva had dealings with these before thanks
