Default fuel for 01 wrx uk car

must i use super unleaded ?
ive just been putting regular unleaded in and noticed the car idling lumpy ,could this be the fuel?

i never put normal unleaded in mine momentum tesco or v power check your fuel flap it should say super unleaded on it mine does

You will be fine with the lower octane for the 215 PS Bugeye UK / Euro WRX.........the DENSO ECU will reduce the IAM to compensate. There will be a loss of performance but no effect on idle.

For Modded cars or the STi (all Jap cars as well) where the chances of det are higher then higher octane fuel is preferable as this is what the ECU will be expecting.

Yes you must use super unleaded because that is what the manufacurers state the car requires.

There's nothing on the filler flap of my bugeye WRX......and I bought it from new.

ok cheers .
any ideas why the car might be idling a little lumpy ? when i say this i mean i can feel a judder ,its intermittent though

I've had a few WRXs, 2 from new , and from memory they all do feel a bit lumpy idling at times .. I wouldnt worry about it
